Comments: Hi Valerie. I am from Nepal. Used to work at the Singapore Marriott but lost my job about 9 months back. I also have a wife and kid who are Singapore citizens. Haven't even seen them for 6 months now. Get to talk to them a few times every week. I wrote about how it's all affecting me and my family. Please feel free to read and would love any advice. Thank you.

Comments: I want to say I love your blog and I had lost my Job in Dec. of 2009 and I still am yet to find one today. I am making a little bit of money by making my own site, though it is not enough to take care of my family. The irony of it all is that to make money I started a website to help people find jobs. The site is working for them I am just in an area where all my family lives and jobs are few and far between. I need to move to better place but that is hard when you can't sell your house. Any way the site I made is free for all to use because I know how expensive it can be just looking. Especially when the closest town is 11 miles away. My site is http://www.Niedersjobs.com if you want to check it out, it has <a href="http://www.niedersjobs.com">Free Local Job Search"</a>. Well thank you for reading this and keep writing.

Comments: I wasn't laid off but two years ago my hours were cut to almost zero. Part of me feels like a total loser & depressed that I can't provide for my family like I used to, but with the extra time I have I use it to take care of the household chores, & focus on art. The biggest upside is I feel like I have more time for my kids & I'm more patient with them.

Comments: Let me get started by first saying, "I'm not political, I don't follow any government or any man-made institution." I am a naturalist, and only follow what is right and respectful of nature first and foremost. The human race is on the bottom of my list, but if it is salvation they seek and an enhanced life, I offer this solution:

Legalize the use of Industrial hemp. Hemp can be used to reduce costs of manufacturing, increase the durability of products, cure our economy...possibly the world economy. Hemp has many uses and before I get into details, let me make it perfectly clear for all the people who have been fooled or brainwashed by misinformation. Hemp is not a drug; you can not get high from hemp. Hemp is the male strain of cannabis and contains virtually no THC. Marijuana on the other hand, is the female strain of cannabis and is a plant which grows in the ground, which if you so happen to eat it's fruit or set the fruit on fire it produces some side effects, which are better than the side effects of Alcohol or Tobacco, which the government shoves down our throats to get rich. I know first hand the effects of alcohol on the body. I had a former roommate that nearly died twice from sclerosis of the liver because of his addiction. I myself am dealing with pain on a daily basis from the combination of my bleeding ulcers and Acid Reflux Disease (ARD). It is hypocritical that the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence was drawn up on 100% pure hemp paper. Even Christopher Columbus who sailed here in 1492 had hemp sails, hemp rope rigging, hemp caulking, and even hemp clothes.

Henry Ford had a dream...A dream of growing cars from the ground with a majority of the car consisting of hemp. In fact, in 1941 he made a car that was comprised of hemp and ran off of hemp oil. For those of you who don't know, hemp is four times lighter and ten times stronger than steel. With that kind of structural integrity wouldn't you want your children to be safe and sound behind the wheel of one of those virtually indestructible machines? We even have the technology levels to produce: concrete, siding, roofing materials, carpets, fiber board, plywood, lumber, food sources, clothing, plastics and several other materials comprised of hemp. With uses such as those I listed, we could end world hunger. No man, woman, or child would be left hungry, homeless, or without clothes.

All it takes is one person to stand up and fight for humanity. The question is will you stand and fight the good cause with me or will you sit back and do nothing?
