Posted On: September 27, 2005 11:33:00 PM Name: Ash What I learned: - Meet as many people as you can, and don't be afraid to go alone to events that interest you, you will meet tons of people that way. - organze your room early, or it will take you forever. - beware of the constant bbq and pizza. Comments:: - be yourself. - listen/respect older students. They are around to help you, and are only looking out for you. - Who you were at home/high school has nothing to do with who you are now. - Do not punch a hole in your student card to put with your keys. It breaks and you will be screwed. - A big glass of water before bed after a big night of partying cures all. - Grilled Cheese makers are the greatest inventions known to man. - No matter how early your first class is, you will sleep through it more than ever expected. - Aviod the L.A Pit after 7pm..it is proven to be a huge cause of the freshman 15. haha - study in the library, even if you are too lazy to walk. You will study far more there then in your room or lounge. - Have a major that INTERESTS you, not one that you think is okay/your parents think you should take or will pay you good money. - Have fun, and meet lots of people. These people are most likely to be with you in so many years ahead, as you all grow and age together. |

Posted On: July 31, 2002 11:58:38 AM Name: anything but late for supper, as my dad would say What I learned: -jump right in - as hard as it may be, do NOT be shy! First impressions, though they may be false do stick. Be witty, be funny, be smart and you'll be okay -do NOT take loose leaf paper to class on a clip board to write your notes on, it will get lost...use bound spiral note books, and if you're in science, I recommend using graph paper note books instead of lined paper so that you can draw graphs and such -statistics is the devil - take it with friends, it is the only thing that will keep you from hurling everything out the window -be nice to people (they might be really good at say chemistry or physics - or they might be the only person on your floor who knows how to fix a computer) - if you take physics, try to do the quizzes in the morning or early afternoons and try to avoid the HUGE line ups at the night time sessions, oh , and do the practice quizzes on the web site, sometimes they are remarkably similar -read your bio notes and/or your bio text book at least once a week, do NOT leave it till two days before your midterm or exam -be extra nice to the OVs and get involved in the school or over at OVC Comments:: first year was a blast but thank God it is over! Good luck to all the frosh =) Great page Jen...hope to see you again this year

When people say *shhhh* they really mean, shut the fuck up or i'll bust yer arse. OH, AND FOR FECK'S SAKE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES AND PUT THEM ON THE SEAT IN FRONT OF YOU. IT'S ABSOLUTELY NASTY. url: www.gone_shopping.com (ha ha ha.. u know who is this Jen... DOUGAL ROCKS! ~~w/ love from BC) |
Posted On: July 18, 2002 11:07:12 PM Name: amay across the way What I learned: Don't go in the tub base showers with shower shoes on. This is a dangerous feat which should not be attempted. Comments:: Don't say no one ever told you. |
Posted On: July 15, 2002 07:48:49 PM Name: the one and only - tampon queen What I learned: - although you may think, and people may tell you that the ranch bus comes at a certain time - it will not come at that time. So don't expect it to. Who said cool kids don't wear jackets? - the people you least expect to be your friends at the beginning of the year will be the ones you're most reluctant to leave at the end of the year. - just because something looks moderately good, you cannot assume it will taste that way. If it's too risky, there's always the pasta. Comments:: Great page popcorn! You are da cooooolest! xoxo
